Silverhorn (aka Silver Horn) was a famous Kiowa artist (amongst other

today!!!(12-17-04) is an interesting movie, has some footage of my
Relatives, Grandpa Max Silverhorn and Atwater Onco, and if you
look quick enough during Grandpa Max's session you can see my
cousin Charlie Silverhorn .  Is a lot about our oral traditions and being
Kiowa.   If you get a chance , see this movie :)

Kiowa Storys -Hugh Lenox scott, a career cavalry officer, was
stationed to Ft. Sill in 1892 and commanded  Troop L, seventh
cavalry, an all indian unit comprised of Kiowa, Comanche, and
Apache.  During his years he amassed story's from the native's and
here are a few Kiowa stories he had.
Kiowa Lands- A nicely informative site. With "some" good
information concerning Kiowa history (tho i personally wouldn't take
everything written as fact :) and some of the books listed are good
too, i.e. Carbine and Lance, A Calender History of the Kiowa Indians,
and of course Kiowa Voices is a must to add to the reading list on
Kiowa Indians.
